Mr. Leavitt is a well-respected veteran of the electronic payments industry with nearly 25 years’ experience in various leadership roles at both public and private companies. As founder and CEO of Boost Payment Solutions, the only acquirer and technology platform focused exclusively on the business-to-business marketplace, Mr. Leavitt oversees all day-to-day operations and the strategic direction of the company. Prior to forming Boost, Mr. Leavitt served as the court-appointed Interim President of Cynergy Data, one the largest payment processing companies in the US, during that company’s restructuring. In that capacity, Mr. Leavitt managed the company’s day-to-day operations on behalf of its creditors and oversaw the marketing and sale of the company’s assets to a private equity fund. Prior to his role at Cynergy Data, Mr. Leavitt served as Chairman and CEO of publicly traded US Wireless Data, a pioneering proprietary wireless payment gateway serving national soft drink bottlers for wireless vending initiatives and a host of other wireless payment solutions. Prior to US Wireless Data, Mr. Leavitt founded and, for ten years, served as President of US Data Capture, a New York based credit card processing company primarily serving the institutional marketplace. While at USDC, Mr. Leavitt entered into card acceptance agreements with many businesses and institutions that had not previously considered card acceptance as a form of payment, including hospitals, universities, municipalities and supermarkets. Mr. Leavitt has received numerous awards from his industry peers and he is regularly asked to speak at various electronic payments industry events. Mr. Leavitt currently serves as a member of Advisory Board of Commercial Payments International and of Piper, a digital receipt company. Mr. Leavitt previously served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Electronic Transaction Association. Mr. Leavitt and his family are involved in several charities and he currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Child Care Association. Mr. Leavitt holds a B.A. with high honors from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he served on the College’s Alumni Board of Trustees from 2002-2008.
