THE OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATE: INTERNAL AUDITOR (IA) QUALIFICATION

This qualification consists of three elements - a knowledge module covering the theory of basic internal audit principles and processes which is covered through formal classroom training (online or physical), the Practical modules in the form of simulations and workplace modules as per the logbook. This qualification relates to an occupation and upon completion leads to the awarding of a nationally recognised qualification at NQF level 7.

Membership of the IIASA is compulsory whilst participating in the programme. Please click here to register for the IIA SA membership online.

Please see the following links: operational agreement (online) | operational agreement (face to face) that spells out the responsibilities of your organisation and the Academy regarding this training intervention and the learner (trainee) registration form as well as the learner agreement to be completed by the trainee(s). Please have them completed and returned as soon as possible. The content and outcomes of the 8 training modules and the training log book is also attached.

COST

The cost of the program includes the tuition fee, study material in electronic format, logbook and assessment of each training module. Please note that the assessment fee will be charged separately on all programmes starting with effect from January 2018. Our prices are reviewed every beginning of the financial year, which is June. Please see the attached operational agreement with regards payment details.

Your organisation may seek accreditation with IIA SA as a Workplace Training Provider on the basis that you have a serious intention to train, are able to give exposure to the tasks in the TLB as required and will provide support structures such as mentors & supervisor/evaluators for your learner. We will assist you with this process, if required. You can still enrol your learners during the workplace accreditation application process.

Should your organization wish to recoup funding incurred on your Learnership they can approach their respective SETA and register the learner. Learnership Agreements are available from the Seta website that your organization pays its Skills Development levies to. Please liaise with your HR department for more assistance. If applicable to your organization, there is also a very generous tax rebate amounting to R60 000 per learner per year. This equates to a tax rebate of R120 000 per learner for the IAT & R60 000 per learner for the programmes.

Please see checklist for your own use to determine completeness.
