COVID-19 IMPACT UPDATE
This message is for candidates who have scheduled for the Global Certification examinations. We have received the following information via the IIA Global and Pearson Vue Headquarters in South Africa.
 
Global
The IIA is deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of those taking certification exams at our testing centres throughout the world. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and following guidance from global health authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Due to public health hazards attributable to COVID-19, PearsonVUE has issued additional guidance via their COVID-19 Update page. If you have any questions, please contact an IIA Customer Relations representative at CustomerRelations@theiia.org

Pearson vue
Pearson Vue has closed testing centres in the US, and other parts of the world. The IIA South Africa have communicated with the Pearson Vue Headquarters in South Africa and have been advised as follows:
The status of each testing centre is dependant on a variety of factors and is determined on a case-by-case basis. Candidates, therefore, need to make contact with the testing site where they have scheduled to take their exam, to assess whether they are operating.
Where the testing centre remains in operation, but the candidate is unable to attend due to concerns over COVID-19, the candidate must contact Pearson Vue in advance to postpone their booking.
Candidates must have a case number obtained via the above means to be eligible to reschedule without penalties.
