Need Ideas for Access Week 2019? NAHAM Can Help!

NAHAM has created a complimentary toolkit to assist you with planning a recognition program complete with free activities for you to engage your staff. We’ve provided numerous suggestions for events and contests you can implement, and we offer a list of audiences you should remember during your celebration. You can also purchase a variety of specially designed products for use throughout the week — and entire year — as recognition gifts and reminders of your department's important contributions to the operation of the hospital. Access more information on the Access Week webpage.

This quarter, NAHAM is featuring Alison Kennison, who became CHAM certified in October 2018. Alison is the Patient Financial Services and Access Manager at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND. She pursued NAHAM certification to further her knowledge in the Patient Access area. To prepare for the CHAM exam, Alison utilized NAHAM’s study tools, like the "So You Want to Take the CHAM" webinar. She says, “These were strong educational tools to further my knowledge in the Patient Access area.” Alison recommends that Patient Access leaders should pursue CHAM certification to ensure they are reaching full productivity measures.

Now that she is CHAM certified, Alison looks forward to adding the educational points for the registration and pre-service calls regarding HIPAA compliance to her education process. Alison is thankful that her employer supported her in achieving this certification so that she may continue to provide guidance to her team.
