NORA Introduces Supplier/Vendor Buyers Guide NORA introduced its new NORA Buyers Guide today, giving members an additional tool to find supplier of products and services geared toward the liquid recycling industry.
NORA Members Universal Environmental Services and Century Refineries have both recently announced re-refining plans.
According to National Oil & Lube News, U.S. quick lubes posted higher average tickets this year despite a tough economy and growing oil drain intervals. Among companies operating less than 30 stores, sales of re-refined or "green" motor oil accounted for 2 percent of the overall breakdown. Click here to read the full news story by Lube Report. California Used Oil Life-Cycle Assessment Update NORA participated in the most recent California Used Oil Life-Cycle Assessment Stakeholder Meeting on September 19-20. The association continues to represent the interests of all NORA members in this $6 million study. Virginia International Raceway Names Safety-Kleen's EcoPower Official Oil Virginia International Raceway recently announced that is has selected EcoPower, a re-refined engine oil from NORA Member Safety-Kleen, for use in all track support vehicles. Oil Recovery Facility to Open in Malaysia A new oil recovery facility in Malaysia that will enable used engine oil to be recycled and reused will begin operations by the end of the year.
