Video Featuring Two PSDA Member Companies Discusses Transition from Print Distributor to Marketing Communications Company

In a new video, Paul Edwards, president and CEO of PSDA member company FormStore Inc., discusses the transition from print distributor to marketing communications company with Bob O'Connell, president and CEO of fellow PSDA member Vanguard Direct. In the video, O'Connell shares how Vanguard Direct made the transition from a print distributor to a full-service marketing communications company, citing the belief that digital print is an effective tool to increase the bottom line for one-to-one marketing and targeting customers. Since its transition to full-service marketing provider, Vanguard Direct not only delivers marketing expertise, but also creative, production and distribution services. Its approach to integrated marketing allows customers to coordinate various marketing activities, improve productivity and make their marketing dollars work harder and more efficiently. The company has moved from a "transactional" business to a "conversational" model – a more consultative approach to selling. O'Connell also shares how Vanguard Direct has added social media to its marketing mix, hiring a team of young social networking gurus to expand Vanguard Direct's online presence.
