Strategic Print Alliance Joins DemandBridge Certified Supplier Network

PSDA member Strategic Print Alliance (SPA) has joined fellow PSDA member DemandBridge's DB Certified Supplier Network, making all SPA members eligible for participation in this program. This certification allows SPA members access to an exclusive network of print buyers and the opportunity to build relationships with the largest distributor network in the industry, representing sales of more than $2 billion annually. "Demandbridge elegantly and seamlessly connects distributors to the unique print production capabilities of our member companies," said Dan Adkison, president of Strategic Print Alliance. "Web-based technologies help reduce transactional costs and more effectively leverage our nationwide network of manufacturing and distribution facilities." Printcbf Grows with Acquisition of HYCO Printed Products

PSDA member Printcbf recently acquired Wayne, NJ-based HYCO Printed Products. The acquisition will allow Printcbf and fellow PSDA member HYCO to provide their clients with the latest in print technology, high-caliber products, value-added creative integrated marketing services and more than 67 years of combined expertise in the industry. In 1983, Printcbf was founded on the basic principle of providing excellent print communications services while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Printcbf has maintained its growth by continuing to enhance product offerings to meet changing business needs – from promotional products to barcodes and labels.

General Data Company Launches PartnerZone Web Portal for Label Resellers

General Data Company Inc., a full-service converter and supplier of labels and labeling solutions, recently launched a Web portal designed specifically for the needs of label resellers and distributors. At General Data's new PartnerZone Web portal, label resellers and distributors can find information on products and programs, as well as education and expert sales advice. The portal contains up-to-date pricing and other information on all of General Data's labeling products and solutions and enables users to streamline custom label quotes by submitting requests for quotes directly to General Data through the portal. XMPie, Streamline Solutions Join Forces for Web-to-Print Workflow

The extensive personalization capabilities of XMPie – a provider of software for cross-media, variable data and one-to-one marketing – are now available to users of the PrintStream Fulfillment System by Streamline Solutions. This effort integrates XMPie's uStore workflow for document selection and customization with Streamline's existing web-to-print (W2P) solution, providing a seamless workflow for on-demand and personalized W2P, combined with a fulfillment management system.

Printing Industries of America, CIP4 Announce Integrated Digital Printing Certification

Printing Industries of America and The International Cooperation for the Integration of the Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) organization recently announced the availability of JDF Product Certification for Integrated Digital Printing. Integrated Digital Printing Certification applies to color, highlight color and duplex black-and-white digital printing systems that may also include in-line finishing capabilities, which may include folding, hole making, stitching, trimming and varnishing. Printing Industries of America is licensed by CIP4 to conduct JDF Product Certification globally. So far, 48 products have achieved JDF Product Certification, including recently certified systems from India Metamation Software Private Limited (for imposition) and EDIGIT INTERNATIONAL SRL (for MIS to Prepress and MIS to Conventional Printing–Sheetfed).
