Print Solutions Magazine Features 2011 PEAK Award Winners

The June 2011 issue of Print Solutions magazine features the winners of PSDA’s annual Print Excellence and Knowledge (PEAK) Awards, which highlight unique and successful print applications. Each year, PSDA hosts this prestigious competition to honor the work of print professionals who have met their customers’ printing needs by providing outstanding value-added products and services through creativity in design, production, fulfillment, and other services while solving problems or improving business functions.

Three distinguished industry veterans — Bill English of Superior Business Solutions, Robin Marchetti of Wise and Ivars Sarkans of Sarkans & Associates — convened at PSDA headquarters in Chicago to serve as judges for the 2011 PEAK Awards. The judges examined each physical entry, read the entry details and discussed the entry’s merits.

The judges ultimately identified 36 Grand Award Winners in various categories, as well as winners of Awards of Excellence in 17 of those categories. New for 2011, the judges also identified a winner of the 2011 PEAK Award for Overall Excellence, given to the entry that stood out as the best among all submissions. Congratulations to RBO PrintLogistix for winning this special honor this year.

All award winners were recognized during last month’s Print Solutions Conference and Expo in Chicago. View photos of each winning entry and read the stories behind the submissions in a special section of this month’s issue of Print Solutions magazine.

PSDA thanks Western States Envelope & Label for sponsoring the 2010 PEAK Awards.

What is your role on the PSDA staff team?

The PSDA Education Committee members are dedicated volunteers, and I look forward to continuing to work with them on key educational programs that will be developed in 2011. It is great to see members excited about the future!

What is one "fun fact" or surprising piece of information about you?
I am originally from a small town in Ohio (GO BUCKEYES!) and come from a large family with 68 first cousins.
