Julie Shaffer, vice president of Digital Technologies at Printing Industries of America, will present a session titled Integrated Printing: The Future of Print in a Technological World at PSDA's 2011 Small Distributor Summit, Sept. 16–18 in Pittsburgh. Attendees will examine a 12-step process to combine print, new communication channels and mediums, and web-based management systems to enhance their company's product offerings, building a business model of the future.

The October 2011 issue of Print Solutions magazine will feature PSDA's 2012 Buyers' Guide. The annual guide is used by distributors of printed and other products when faced with sourcing questions. PSDA member and print distributor American Solutions for Business recently finalized an agreement with a division of Advance Business Graphics (ABG). Ten sales associated and support personnel and five customer service individuals will be joining the American team. The acquired offices have focused on the health care industry, credit unions and other traditional transactional businesses. American CEO Larry Zavaldi expressed his delight with the agreement, commenting that the expertise and customer service skills of ABG will no doubt lead to growth opportunities.
