PSDA's 2010-2011 Board of Directors took the helm on Monday, Nov. 1, under the leadership of Board President Bill Prettyman. The Board's new incoming members are:

Report: Global Printing Machinery and Supplies Market to Reach $21.22 Billion by 2015

All Barcode Systems Announces New Distribution Partnership

PSDA member company All Barcode Systems, a label manufacturer and automated data collection equipment distributor in Garden Grove, CA, is the new Western U.S. distributor of thermal transfer ribbons branded by TSC Auto ID Technology. "TSC is one of our strongest partners in the thermal transfer printer market," said Scott Steiner, president of All Barcode Systems. "Our customers demand quality and performance from both their printers and consumables, and this partnership will ensure that expectation can and will continue." TSC-branded thermal transfer ribbons are available in various sizes and ink formulations and can be used on competing printer lines. All Barcode Systems sells nationally into several vertical markets, including healthcare, distribution and route accounts.

Consolidated Graphics Buys Five HP Indigo 7500 Digital Presses

HP recently announced that Consolidated Graphics Inc (CGX) had purchased five HP Indigo 7500 digital presses. CDS Publications, one of CGX's five digital centers, installed the first HP Indigo 7500 digital press as a beta test unit in its Medford, OR, facility and is now using the press for custom book, magazine and personalized printing programs. CGX purchased the press after the beta testing period validated the unit's features, including high-quality imaging, excellent color consistency and high productivity. Four additional units have since been purchased – one to be installed at CGX's European digital hub in Prague, Czech Republic, and three at its PBM Graphics company in Research Triangle Park, NC.
