Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
HIC 2010 will be held at the new, state of the art, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is the jewel in a $1.4 billion development in the newly-created suburb of South Wharf on the banks of the Yarra River. This development confirms Melbourne as a waterfront city by creating a new lively precinct for the local community and international visitors.
South Wharf features a new deluxe Hilton hotel, plus an array of cafes, high quality restaurants, bars, cinemas and a variety of retail and lifestyle offerings. All master-planned to capture the essence of Melbourne's unique laneway grid and European-inspired culture.
The Melbourne Convention Centre has been fully integrated with the Melbourne Exhibition Centre to create the most versatile and advanced convention and exhibition centre in the Southern Hemisphere.
