The Minnesota GIS/LIS consortium will hold its 13th statewide conference on October 8-10, 2003 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center in Duluth, Minnesota.

A combination of half-day and full-day workshops will be offered on Wednesday. Workshop participants can select from a wide variety of topics, ranging from general introductory issues to specialized technical challenges. Complete workshop information will be included in the conference registration materials to be mailed in August.

Conference attendees are invited to the Wednesday evening Welcome Reception, complete with refreshments, cash bar, and entertainment.

The conference will begin with a plenary session Thursday morning, followed by concurrent sessions and an awards lunch. Thursday afternoon will bring more concurrent sessions, followed by the poster session and exhibitors' reception. Friday morning begins with concurrent sessions, and includes a closing plenary speaker at lunch. 

Copies of the printed proceedings, including session abstracts, will be distributed to conference registrants. Abstracts will also be published on the Consortium's website after the conference.

The vendor exhibit hall will showcase the latest GIS-related hardware and software, GIS products and services. The exhibit hall will be open Thursday and Friday.

Conference registration includes admission to the Exhibitors' Reception on Thursday evening. Hors d' oeuvres and refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be available. The reception will be held in the exhibit hall, providing another opportunity to visit conference exhibitors.
