Research & Clinical Innovation Moderated Poster Presentations
The top 3 (high quality) abstracts that were submitted as "poster only" will be selected for this session. The first author or designee, audience, and moderator have the opportunity to engage in scholarly discourse by offering their scientific expertise and/or constructive feedback on the topic.

Oral Abstract Competition - Awards
AAHFN will grant a limited number of awards to the top research abstracts that are entered into the Oral Abstract Competition.
Awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants based upon the abstract’s degree of excellence as determined by the AAHFN Research Committee and the author’s oral presentation during the Oral Abstract Session.
To apply for these awards, please check the appropriate area in the questionnaire portion of the submission site.
Note: Award recipients from the 2006 - 2013 Annual Meetings are not eligible for the 2014 Oral Abstract Competition. Finalists from the 2006 - 2013 Annual Meetings, who did not win an award, are eligible to apply for the 2014 Oral Abstract Competition.

AAHFN Abstract Process
AAHFN makes submitting your abstract easy. Simply type or copy/paste your abstract online and submit it through the online submission site. Please note: there are no paper submissions.
Additionally:

Accepted abstracts will be published in Heart & Lung: The Journal of Acute and Critical Care, the official journal of AAHFN.

Authors may submit an unlimited number of abstract

AAHFN welcomes abstracts previously submitted to other national or international meetings.
Abstract Submission Information
Character Limit: There is a limit of 3375 characters for the text of your submission. The character count includes spaces. You will be advised of your character count usage throughout the submission process as you save and move to the next step.
Abstract Notifications
Notifications will be sent via email to lead authors in March 2014
Abstract Mentors
The Mentee program has been designed to support clinicians or researchers who would like assistance with the AAHFN Call for Abstracts writing and submission process. Participants in the Mentor Program will:
- Discuss the critical elements and format of an abstract with their Mentor
- Receive feedback and suggestions on their abstract before submission from their Mentor
