NASA's Earth Observatory Website Adapted from the website The purpose of NASA's Earth Observatory <http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/> is to provide a freely accessible publication on the Internet where the public can obtain new satellite imagery and scientific information about our home planet. The focus is on Earth's climate and environmental change. Major research sections include: atmosphere, oceans, land, life on earth, heat and energy, and remote sensing. In particular, we hope our site is useful to public media and educators. Any and all materials published on the Earth Observatory are freely available for re-publication or re-use, except where copyright is indicated, as long as NASA's Earth Observatory is given credit for its original materials. You can also subscribe to the Earth Observatory. Once a week you will receive a short notice from the Earth Observatory telling you about the latest stories, data, and other points of interest that have been added to the site.
