AGPN E-Health Conference 2011 - 'Delivering the E-Health Change'
After the success of the Australian General Practice Network's inaugural E-Health Conference last year, AGPN is building an even greater event by partnering with the Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) to co-locate their conference with the Health Informatics Conference 2011.
Being at the forefront of the e-health agenda is paramount for clinicians, consumers, policy makers and vendors as Australia's healthcare sector moves rapidly towards restructuring its electronic administrative processes.
To capture this momentum, the Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) is once again hosting a National E-Health conference which will be building on the success of last year's. We are on the cusp of launching the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record and with the availability of Medicare rebates for telehealth consultations, adapting and responding to this new e-enabled healthcare environment will be the focus of AGPN's conference.
AGPN's E-Health conference is scheduled a month into the new primary health care organisational landscape in which Medicare Locals will be operational as the remaining Divisions of General Practice continue to evolve to become the Medicare Locals of the future.
AGPN's E-Health Conference runs from Monday 1st to Tuesday 2nd August 2011 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Further information can be found at http://www.agpn.com.au/about-us/agpn-events/agpn-ehealth-conference
