12^th Annual Conference & Workshops
Exhibitor Information

The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium’s 12^th Annual Conference & Workshops is scheduled for October 2-4, 2002 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center in Duluth, Minnesota. This year we are looking for an even bigger and better conference, and expect to exceed the 500 participants who attended last year’s event.  As a vendor, you play an integral part in the event and we welcome your participation in our 2002 Conference. 

In order to increase the amount of contact between exhibitors and conference attendees, the Consortium has incorporated the following features into the schedule:

• A buffet reception with door prizes and cash prizes scheduled from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday in the exhibit area (Ticket holders must be present to win.)

• A seated conference luncheon on Thursday to which all exhibitors are invited

• Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks on Thursday and Friday in the exhibit area.

• Product demonstrations will enable exhibitors to showcase their products in a presentation format.

• Exhibitor recognition on our website- we will add your name to our website for 2002. 

The conference will also feature several excellent speakers who will address various topics in the GIS/LIS field.  On Thursday morning, John Monson of the USDA Farm Service Agency will team up with Paul Olson of the Minnesota DNR in a concerted effort to discuss the value of multi-agency partnerships and prove its efficacy at Ground Zero – New York.  On Friday, our closing speaker will be Ron Ondrejka, a national level surveillance imaging technical advisor, who will share his experiences regarding advances made in data collection: From Hilltop to Hyperspectral.

Please review the exhibit information and do not delay in sending your Exhibit Space Reservation Form as booth space is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Because Duluth receives many visitors during the fall color season, you are also encouraged to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.
